Is FOX News Racist for Reporting, “Obama’s Hip Hop BBQ Didn’t Create Jobs”

Despite being publicly ridiculed for their past racial under-tones regarding President Obama, Fox News is being accused again, for what some consider a similar offense. Recently, they released an article about President Obama’s Fundraiser Birthday Party that occurred on Thursday (August 4th). It appears as if FOX portrayed the event, stereotypically by titling the article, “Obama’s Hip Hop BBQ Didn’t Create Jobs.” The article went on to mention that the menu consisted of barbecue chicken, ribs, hot dogs and salad. They then provided pictures of Jay-Z, Chris Rock and Charles Barkley and said that the event “included jazz and R&B performances and a D.J.’s hip-hop music.” They also reported that Obama’s family and friends attended and that they were all dancing to Hip-Hop songs in the middle of the dance floor. Unfortunately, in the article, they failed to report that there were other white attendees that danced “in the middle of the dance floor”, as well as other music and dishes on the menu. In the past, there have been other examples that may appear to have a similar slant…like the criticism of Obama for inviting Common to the White House. Or a while back, in an article about The President of Gabon’s visit to the White House, Fox wrote, “it’s not the first time Mr. Obama has had a hoodlum in the hizzouse.” Yikes. My question: Is Fox News REALLY as racist as some people think or is the public highly sensitive about race because the President is a minority?
