After 14 Years, Bobby Brown Releasing Solo Album + Can He Pull It Off?

The last time that 43-year-old singer, Bobby Brown, released an album was 14 years ago. Since his CD, “Forever,” Bobby has been quite M.I.A. But, in lieu of the drama surrounding his ex-wife, Whitney Houston‘s, recent passing, Bobby has decided to make his comeback. He released two singles early last year, titled “Damaged” and “Get Out The Way.” Bobby will release another single soon, titled, “Don’t Let Me Die.” And then his album, which he calls “The Masterpiece” will hit shelves on June 5th.  Of the album, Bobby said,

“I simply wanted to create a body of work that will take listeners on a musical journey; the style of music that will allow people to get in touch with their highs and lows and their joys and pain of living through song. At the same time, I am hoping to bridge the gap between good old R&B and R&B of today.”

To promote his upcoming release, Bobby is set to appear on various talk shows, including “Ellen,” “The Tonight Show,” “Today,” and “The Wendy Williams Show.” Bobby’s explanation of the new project sounds a bit enticing, so I can’t wait to hear more, during his appearances. Are we excited to hear some new music from Bobby, or is he washed up already? Peep the tracklist and cover below.
