Recap. Ochocinco’s: the Ultimate Catch–The Finale

Here’s the RECAP by Guest Blogger, Yosh.

Last week, we shared our prediction of who Chad REALLY chooses. Nonetheless, we decided to stay committed and see this show through to the very, bitter end.

Brittany

It’s now down to the final 2 women,  #1 seed Rubi and #11 seed Brittany. Chad begins by taking Rubi on a yacht to see if their personalities mesh well. After she changes into her bikini, the two engage in a make out session. They have great sexual chemistry, but their communication sucks. Bunch of awkward silence and crickets chirping. Meanwhile back at the hotel, Brittany is seen by the Dr. and discovers that she has a viral gastrointestinal infection (…yuck…).

Rubi

Later that night, Ocho takes Rubi to Prime 112 on South beach for dinner. He’s been spending a lot of time with Rubi, which is just not fair. (…I know Brittany is sick and all, but damn at least visit her!…) Anyway, the whole reason for this dinner date is to see how much deeper their connection is, outside of sexual chemistry. Epic fail! No conversation at all! This was like watching paint dry. He then takes her back to his hotel suite with the whole candle, rose petals and champagne scene again. She returns to the suite the next morning and Brittany notices her dress is wrinkled and make-up is smeared. Britt Britt ( I feel like I know her now to give her a nickname), what did you expect! She’s the #1 seed, not to mention muy caliente and she gets tons of camera time!

Anyway, breakfast gets delivered to the ladies with a note for Brittany to meet Chad for her for their one-on-one date. He takes Brittany on a romantic helicopter ride over South Beach. I’m a little nervous for her because she clearly is having tummy issues! She makes it through the ride and arrives to a date with some dolphins! Overall, Brittany rates her date a 10 and she had a very good time with Chad.  Back at the hotel, Grandma Ocho arrives to visit Rubi! She jumps right in to questioning what she does for a living and where she met him.

At dinner, Brittany wants to get something off her chest. She brings up her son’s father because she thinks Ocho may have a misconception about her. He feels that past ex’s do come in the way of new relationships and wants that reassurance that it wont happen. Brittany just keeps it all the way 100 and lets him know “I run this motherfucka. Her words, not mine (for once). Chad really likes Brittany and loves being around her. The only thing that bothers him is the ex-husband. To help him dig deeper, he pulls Grandma Ocho back in to get to know Brittany. As she did with the psychologists, she spills her guts out to her so there are no secrets she needs to pass on to her grandbaby.

Chad then debriefs with his grandma because he trusts her instincts about people. He lets her know he envisions himself with either woman. Grandma Ocho likes Rubi and that she’s family oriented, but she’s too quiet and naïve. She tells him that Brittany talks too much, but she likes her. Her biggest concern is Brittany’s son accepting Chad into his life and she knows that if he doesn’t, Brittany will end all ties with him. It’s pretty easy from the conversation who he might choose, but we’ve been wrong before.

Chad and Brittany

Now we’ve come to eliminations! There’s no denying the chemistry that Rubi and Ocho have, but they run out of things to talk about. He feels at some point that chemistry will run out. Brittany is his unexpected surprise and he loves that she is such a strong woman. But, she has a lot going on in her life and certain things will create drama. He wants to know if both of their baggage that they may bring into the relationship wont be the reason it ends and she reassures him that “with the trust she plans to put into the relationship, she hopes he does the same”. Rubi is shitting bricks! It seems as though he is going to give her the boot! He asks Brittany to come forward and lets her know that bringing their two lifestyles together is a recipe for disaster. So yeah, he picks Rubi. We’ll see how long this lasts. So until to the reunion show, revisit my recaps so you can get ready!
