Chrisette Michele Talks New Album + Explains New Hair Style

Written by thejasminebrand in Blog
On Friday, October 28th,R&B songstress Chrisette Michele performed at DC’s The Park at 14th. Rockin’ a new hairstyle, Chrisette Michele performed her classic hits, “Golden,” “Lovely,” and “Blame it On Me.” She also took those in attendance to church, literally, by singing the gospel song, “Total Praise.” Peep my interview where she discusses her upcoming project.
On Her Upcoming Plans On A New Album:
Right now I’m recording and I’m super-duper excited… I’m in LA doing that and it’s going to be, I think, the best thing that I’ve done so far… Usually I always give away… this time, all I’m going to say is that I really just can’t wait for you to hear what’s going on… I’ve been hanging out with No I.D. in the studio and that’s going incredible.

On How Her Music & Collaborations Cross-Over:
I know right… it’s so weird. I just love music… it doesn’t matter what kind it is. It doesn’t matter who is doing it… just music in general.
On What Inspired Her New Hair:
Girl, It’s just like before I got signed my hair would chagne every eight weeks. After you get signed you kinda have to do the same thing for a year, which is ludicrous to me. This [hair style] is probably going to change in two weeks. I’m trying out a few things before I put out the next project.

P.S. Here’s some older footage (from this summer) of Chrisette Michele performing “Total Praise”.
