O.J. Simpson Home Hits Foreclosure From Jail

It appears that Orenthal James “O. J.” Simpson just can’t catch a break. After the infamous 1995 acquittal of his wife and her friend’s murder, O.J. moved from Los Angeles to Orlando where he bought a house for $575,000 in 2000. 12 years later, O.J.‘s in jail, serving a 9-33 year sentence for kidnapping and robbery after attempting to retrieve some personal sports memorabilia he alleges was stolen from him.

And while in jail, it seems as if he’s had some challenges paying the mortgage on his 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom Kendall-area home, which has recently come under foreclosure. According to Miami-Dade Circuit Court documents, JP Morgan filed the foreclosure notice in September. Simpson’s legal team has since filed a motion to dismiss the action but it is currently pending. What do y’all think — is this karma or hell, challenges w/ paying one’s mortgage happen to the best of us?
