Singer/songwriter Kandi Burruss is showing us what it means to multi-task. The 35-year-old began her career as a singer in the group Xscape, which was most popular in the 90s. After that, she continued songwriting, and is responsible for penning hits like TLC’s “No Scrubs,” and Destiny’s Child’s hits “Bills Bills Bills,” and “Bug A Boo.” Currently, she is most popular for being featured as a main cast member on the reality show “Real House Wives of Atlanta.” But she didn’t stop there. Kandi expanded her brand by opening up a retail boutique in Atlanta called TAGS, a radio show called “Kandi Koated Nights,” a card game app called “Kandi Koated Spades,” and, of course, her intimate toy line, “Bedroom Kandi,” which is growing in popularity.
Actually, the toy line is doing so well that it just won what is supposedly one of the biggest awards in the adult entertainment industry. One of the toys on her line (the vibrator that moves to the beat of the music on your iPod) won the award for “Best Overall Sex Toy” by Adult Video News. The toy line, which she started with the help of OhMiBod, also features products for discreet travel, special massagers, and lubricants. Gotta respect her hustle right?
