Jennifer Williams Drops Lawsuit Against Evelyn Lozada’s Assistant, Nia Crooks

Written by thejasminebrand in Blog

Former Basketball Wives’ cast-mate Jennifer Williams has decided to call a truce with Evelyn Lozada’s assistant, Nia Crooks. As you’ll recall, during the last season of VH1′s Basketball Wives,  we saw a confrontation between Nia Crooks and Jennifer Williams, where Nia slapped Jennifer. We later learned that Jennifer had filed a lawsuit. In the police report, Jennifer said that Nia slapped her with an open hand on the left side of her face and told her,

“You better sleep with one eye open.”

The season has come to a close, and Jennifer and her former best friend, Evelyn Lozada have been attempting to reconcile their friendship (or at least they were on the reunion show).

Fast forward to the present day, Jennifer has decided to “abandon” the lawsuit against Nia, saying that she’d like to move on. What do you think of Jennifer’s decision to drop her lawsuit against Nia Crooks?

  1. So New Orleans says:

WOW!!! She’s being the big person I guess…

  2. Elizabeth says:

Nia’s been spending too much time around Evelyn. She thinks she’s tougher than she is. You don’t smack someone because they don’t want to be your friend anymore. That whole scene was just pathetic.

  3. Lovelylegs says:

To forgive is a good thing but it would have been nice to see Nia sweat a little longer. >:)

  4. Chitownqtee says:

I would have told her that I would drop the lawsuit if she agreed to just stand there and let me knock the hell out of her. Closed fist, face shot, No cameras needed! Wew! glad I got that anger out!! LOL.

  5. Yo Gabba says:

Lawsuit was dropped clearly because she wants to continue as a cast member on the show. Yup, smells like that to me.

  6. San Fran says:

She dropped the civil lawsuit and is moving forward with the criminal lawsuit. The civil lawsuit was probably dropped because as Jen said she has nothing. The criminal lawsuit should teach her a lesson to keep her hands to herself.
