50 Cent Attacks French Montana On Twitter + Says His Record Sales & Lyrics Suck

Nothing like a little hip-hop beef, the day after the BET Hip Hop Awards airs. While you were sleeping, the very vocal Curtis '50' Cent Jackson popped twitter slick on Bad Boy rapper French Montanta. In short, he had some not so nice things to say about French's record sales, career thus far and lyrical content. He wrote:

French Montana you ain't Sh*t boy. You out your league talking about me you hoe.i read your little interview what the f*cx is you high. French your Sh!t so weak you never had a song by your self fool. Ain't nobody's waiting to hear your verse. Girl Do you realize this fool  hasn't sold one record and talking about sales. Im not tweeting about this little fool No more.I'm a see him and he gonna explain that's it.

So what triggered 50's twitter shade? Apparently in a recent Complex intervew, French Montana made the following remarks about 50:

You should avoid beef if you trying to make money. People get scared when you try to beef with people. In general, [even in street sh*t] nobody want to stand next to you if somebody about to shoot you, unless you have a a big lick [Ed. Note—A "lick" means a hustle.] They [used to] do that with 50 because 50 was the bank. They knew he was going to win. People ain’t doing that [anymore].

No response yet from French's camp, about 50's twitter comments. But what do you think–did French's comments warrant 50's twitter attack? Or does 50 not only have a point, but French should not have used 50 as a reference point/example?
