Whether you like it or not, Zoe Saldana is playing the legendary Nina Simone in the movie ‘Nina’. Since news hit that she’d be portraying the legendary jazz musician/pianist, some of the public (along with her daughter) have voiced their concerns. In short, some suggest that her physical appearance sets limitations on if she can nail the role. Nonetheless, this week, she was potted on set in Los Angeles, rocking an afro and heavy make-up. Based off of these photos, does she resemble Nina Simone more than you expected?
There is actually a *slight* resemblance. I hate when they darken or lighten skin for a role, though. It’s annoying.
