Vocal film-maker, Spike Lee, has gone on record explaining why he is refusing to see Quentin Tarantino’s latest film, ‘Django Unchained’. During a recent interview with Vibe, the 55-year-old Atlanta native said:

I’m not gonna see it. I’m not seeing it. It would be disrespectful to my ancestors, to see that film. I can’t disrespect my ancestors…I can’t do it. I’m not speaking on behalf of anybody, but myself.

Meanwhile, here’s a sit-down with Tarintino, where he talks about the new film, gun violence and the ‘N-word’.

What do you think of Spike’s remarks? Based off of the films reviews and teasers, does he have a point? Or is he being overly critical because the film was made by Tarrintino?

  • Ms. AG

Oh Spike…..no one can do it like you huh?

He’s entitled to his opinion. But I’m definitely seeing it!
