13-time Grammy nominee rapper Nas’ is in hot water with his baby mama again. 39-year-old rapper (born Nasir Jones) was nominated for four awards including Best Rap Song and Rap Performance for his song ‘Daughters.’
While the ceremony was airing ex-girlfriend and baby mother Carmen Bryan blasted the rapper for not taking their 17-year-old daughter Destiny to the awards ceremony. Carmen suggests that since the song was inspired by his relationship with his daughter, it was only right. (Sidebar: If Carmen’s name sounds familiar, it’s because she is well-known for writing, ‘It’s No Secret’ a tell-all book detailing their relationship, along with other stories about Jay-Z, Diddy, Allen Iverson and Nas’ ex-wife Kelis). Anywho, she tweeted:
Ouch. Here are some pics of them in happier times.
What do you think…does Carmen have a point? Should he have brought their daughter along to the show?
And in other news…
Former video vixen and New York Times best selling author, Karrine Steffans has penned a new book about her on again off again relationship with rapper Lil Wayne. How To Make Love To A Martian details their very public six year love affair. According to her website,
“Martian explores the idea of an impossible love and the transposition of power that often occurs when the love of your life is so out of reach, no matter how close they may seem. It explores the concept of unconditional love, even to one’s detriment, and the loss of life that occurs all in the name of holding on to something and someone so completely unobtainable. How To Make Love To A Martian is grossly interpersonal, introspective and riddled with secrets from a woman who dares to love a Martian, against all odds.”
How To Make Love To A Martian is Steffans’ fifth book and is available now. [Twitter, Instagram, Karrine S.]
