With the Queens native just landing a TV gig (alongside Mariah Carey), Nicki Minaj’s star couldn’t be any brighter right now. The 30-year Trinidad native is forever busy making moves on one of the number one talent shows, American Idol, dropping music and trying her hand at make-up. But with success come critics, some of it warranted. In a interview with ‘Extra’, Minaj clear up pesky rumors about rumors that she’s had a nose job and has bleached her skin. Check out a few excerpts below.

On her collaborating with Mac makeup again:

I had the number one top selling ‘Viva Glam’ lipstick of all time, so i figured lets give it a whirl again. Its all coming together with my new and different look for 2013, more grown and sexy. Less is more.

On being a regular girl, sometimes having days that are not so ‘glam’:

You don’t want to see it. Scarf on my head, sweat pants, Uggs and a t-shirt, you know.

On the rumors about a nose job and skin bleaching:

People see my makeup and think all kind of crazy things like I’m doing something to my skin. No, its just makeup. Its the weirdest thing, they’ll see conjure and they’ll think you had surgery on your nose. Look at Rupaul’s Drag Race and you’ll see how you can make your nose look any way you want it.

In an interview with E!, she also discusses her future on American Idol and whether or not she’ll consider returning:

“I don’t know, we’ll see. See the thing is, we’re only half way done so, I am absolutely enjoying Idolbut I don’t know how I’m going to feel at the end of it.”

She also shares how she has personal motivation, tying her to the M.A.C AIDS Fund and helping people with HIV/AIDS.

“I don’t know if everyone knows, but I’ve lost people in my family to AIDS…[and now] you don’t have to die of AIDS,” Minaj said. “We need people to realize that this is not a game. You can really lose your life sharing needles, unprotected sex, all of that stuff.”
