It’s been over three months since we heard the jaw-dropping story about Amanda Berry. In short, she was one of three women held captive in a Cleveland home for a decade. Amanda now 27 (along with Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight) disappeared between 2002 and 2004 when she 16. They escaped in May when Amanda kicked out part of a door and called to neighbors for help. So what’s the latest? Over the weekend, she made her first public appearance at the annual RoverFest concert featuring rapper Nelly.

Missing Women Found Berry

Following an introduction from radio host Shane French, Nelly brought Amanda and her family onstage while he performed “Just a Dream.” The St. Lois rapper told concert-goers:

That’s how you tell the pulse of a city by the people that live there. Since they up here right now, I want to make sure that we get a chance to thank you because I know it’s a long time and I can’t even imagine the type of strength and the type of courage that it took to keep it going. So, for that, again I commend you and I say thank you.
