A few days ago, DJ Khaled had folk buzzing, after proposing to Nicki Minaj on MTV. While most of us figured he was joking and using the alleged proposal for publicity, others thought that he may sorta-kinda be a bit serious. Fast forward to the present day and in an interview with Hot 97, Nicki has addressed Khaled’s heartfelt proposal. She explained:

Let me set the record straight Khaled is my brother and Khaled was not serious with the d-mn proposal, ya’ll please let it go! He was kidding! It was another way for him to give the world a glimpse of the feeling of this record (Twerking). He’s not attracted to me, he doesn’t like me, we’re brothers and sisters.

She also addressed rumors that there’s tension between Drake and Lil Wayne. When probed during the interview about buzz that Drake was no longer in ‘Young Money Cash Money’, she commented:

You know what, I just feel like, people’s perception of their reality, is their perception of their reality. So sometimes make moves based on their perception of what their reality is. I know that sounds like a riddle but maybe one day you will be able to unravel that one. All I can say is this, Lil Wayne is everything to me. I can’t speak for anyone else and what Young Money and Cash money did for Nicki Minaj, I could never repay them for. I am forever indebted to them, you know what I’m saying. Whatever happens with any other artist, I don’t know. All I can say he is so talented, sometimes when you’re really intelligent and really talented, you also think a lot. Sometimes your mind is racing with so much and it is what it is. People go through their own motions, you gotta respect it and keep it moving.

She continued:

We all love the team, we all love Wayne and thats whats gonna hold us together. Drake is my baby, because thats how we were when we came in, so whenever I think of him, I think, ‘oh that’s my baby.’ Whatever’s going on now we are all obviously very busy and sh-t happens, it gets a little hard to have a real connection, when people are different sides of the world and working on different things. You just never know who people got in their ear or what they’re feeling, maybe they felt wronged in some way, I don’t know. I just know what Drake is my baby and Wayne is my everything.
