With only one episode in, things almost got physical on BRAVO’s Real Housewives of Atlanta. On Sunday, season six kicked off and one of the story lines includes Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes. So what’s all the fuss about? The two had a verbal argument, which resulted in Kenya touching (or grabbing, depends on your perspective) NeNe’s ear.

According to Mrs. Leakes, Ms. Moore was out of line for touching. On her personal BRAVO blog, the newly married reality star recounted the story:

Listen I am a smart girl. When I enter a room, I can feel the energy. I knew once Kenya entered that the foolishness was about to begin, so I tried to remove myself by taking a tour of Cynthia’s new space but ended up bumping into Kenya anyway. She approached me about why Walter was invited to my wedding and why I hadn’t reached out to her during her eviction drama. So let me answer! Surely someone who claims to be a top actress, producer, and director who is selling DVDs everywhere is not evicted! Besides this was not national news. This was on a few blogs. I didn’t feel the need to reach out about gossip. Why I invited Walter is simple: I was getting married! I will repeat, I was getting married, which means I invite whoever the hell I choose!

She continued:

Now let me say this before I end. My Twitter blew up and my phone just about caught on fire when Kenya grabbed my ear. I have come a long ways baby! I know when somebody wants a reaction out of me for their own purposes. I know water is free in America, but so many of these girls are thirsty! I’m not willing to risk what I have, what I have worked for, and what I have become for somebody that has been on a 20 year hiatus! Now had that been me all up in somebody’s personal space, I would be called a bully, violent, aggressive, mean, and everything else, but it’s OK for people to violate me?

Check out the clip below:

What are your thoughts? Would you consider what Kenya did a violation or is NeNe over reacting?

I agree! Respect my personal boundries!

    • Not that y’all asked, but I’m on the fence. I see both sides. On one hand, if someone is my friend, I don’t respect their space. I tug on their arm, squeeze their hand, play with their hair, etc, but not during a disagreement. On the other hand, if I haven’t spoken to my friend, for months, I’d probably keep my hands, feet and all other objects to myself.

I think Kenya’s idea of their friendship (which she thinks or thought was close), made her feel like she could grab her ear like that in a playful type way like a Mom or Auntie would do to a child when you don’t listen! I really don’t think she meant any harm but the way she was coming off & creating a scene, I think NeNe automatically went into defense mode. I also think Kenya shouldn’t have grabbed her ear though…not to a grown ass woman. That’s too close for comfort but NeNe handled it in the right way. smh, Kenya! Did anyone else see the end with all of what’s to come?! Looks really interesting, can’t wait.

I personally think Kenya was outta line and looking for a reaction. NeNe on the other hand “SHOCKED” the h*ll out of me. I think she handled herself like a lady and tried to walk away from the situation as to not cause a scene at “Her friends” Cynthia’s event. It was not the time nor the place for kenya to try and micro manage nene’s guest list. Further more, I beleive NeNe has grown and evolved into something that Kenya has yet been able to do. Kenya “to me” is trying to remain relavent in this story line of RHOA and I dont see how or why she is still on the show. She is not a housewife and doesnt have a man in her life. She needs to take a long walk off a short diving board. lol. #IJS

Honestly none of these folks are friends. They’re just “Bravo” friends. But if this was real life on the planet earth, I would always consider my friends feelings if i really wanted them to share a special time in my life. Honestly Nene hasn’t known Kenya or Walter long enough to invite them to no damn wedding.

Nene knows Kenya is crazy, reason she handled the situation with care else u just never know with Kenya and what her reaction’s gonna be like…
