Unfortunately, we couldn’t make this stuff up! Phaedra Parks has herself in a bit more turmoil and this go ’round it has nothing to do with her husband, Apollo Nida. According to Radar Online, the lawsuit that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star has with her ex-friend, Angela Stanton, goes much deeper. Court documents suggest she’s suing Angela for claiming she often “dressed up as a dominatrix” and owned “a den for S&M!

This (Phaedra’s bedroom antics) was initially shared in Angela’s book, Lies of a Real Housewife and subsequent interviews with Vibe.com. If you recall, Phaedra actually sued Vibe for defamation, and though that case was dismissed, her lawsuit with Angela is ongoing.

In Phaedra’s complaint in the Vibe case, she slams Angela for saying

Just about every conversation Phaedra and I had would result in her talking about sex. She would often elaborate about her performance of some type of sexual act….She also shared her personal photo album with me…There was all kinds of pictures of her dressed up as a dominatrix, bent over, and posing in different positions. I was shocked …There was a pair of handcuffs attached to the headboard [in her bedroom]. Whips, and freaky-ass underwear were hanging everywhere. This was a den for S&M. Her tools were openly displayed as if she wanted people to know she was a freaky woman.

Meanwhile, Phaedra maintains Angela’s account of all of this is false, although she did once attend a Halloween party dressed as a dominatrix, complete with whip. The case is ongoing in Georgia court.

In similar, last month when news hit of Apollo’s arrest for alleged involvement in bank fraud, Angela released an official statement to a number of media outlets.

I read with sadness the news that Phaedra Parks’ husband, Apollo Nida, was arrested for alleged schemes that are remarkably similar to those that lured me years ago. I was troubled to learn that the alleged crimes involved the use of a vulnerable woman to carry out the schemes. The story is all too familiar to me. I sincerely hope that Ms. Parks has not been part of his alleged crimes. I hope that she, like I, learned from her mistakes. Although tragic, the news of Apollo’s arrest has been vindicating for me. Since I published my book, Phaedra Parks has used her wealth and influence in an attempt to silence me. She filed lawsuits against my publisher, and threatened them with years of expensive litigation if they did not cease publication of my book.

She continued:

As a result, I lost nearly all the royalties I was owed. Ms. Parks used her influence in the media to discredit my story and smear my name, casting me as a delusional liar on the pages of popular blogs. After going to prison and losing everything, my story was all I had left, and she took that from me. At the advice of my attorney, I have remained silent for some time, choosing to fight our battle in a court of law, and not in the media. I remain confident that I will prevail in court and recover for the damage that was done to me. However, in light of the recent news, I have decided to speak out once more. I want to share my story with young people who find themselves drawn to crime and false glamour. I want to caution young people that the wealthy, glamorous lifestyle they see on their television screens is not all it appears to be. It is often built on a lie, and it is often built on the backs of victims and exploited people. I am ready to share my story. Over the coming days, I will be seeking out the appropriate forum to do so.
