[EXCLUSIVE] Interview Lil Mo Reacts to Prince’s Alleged Diss, Explains Security Snub: It Was Messed Up!

Dynamite and I were walking and got held back by police and other security. My fiancé and I were like, ‘What’s going on we have all access passes? They told us to go this way’. The cop said, ‘You gotta stay here for like 2 minutes’. I said, ‘I have to go to the restroom, and if I pee on myself it’s gonna be some mess’. They blocked us from walking by because Prince was walking through. I was like, ‘Seriously!! are you kidding me. I’m not gonna even bother him’. I wont EEM [even] look at him — because I heard he doesn’t like people to look at him. Had that been his personal concert I would’ve been like ok — I feel you. But this is Essence. You have to be credentialed and invited or you not getting in. I think it was messed up. I don’t know who is to blame. I’m an artist too. Shade is, he wasn’t the ONLY artist that did that this weekend. It was too much for my mind to wrap around that people do that coming through clearing the way, like they Obama. C’mon. We are co-workers LOL.

Lil Mo: I didn’t say NO names and I didn’t see none of his performance. He was NOT the only one that performed! I was talking about JJ Fish ahahahahaa. I just know the art of manipulation and people fall for it. OMG all they have to do is read a few books that shows you how to make people THINK you talking about 1 thing. Lord — let me turn my greens OFF.

theJasmineBRAND.com: Were you surprised that you received some backlash on Instagram?

Lil Mo: No, not at all. I’m accustomed to many not agreeing with my opinion. On MY page. I post stuff of my children. People talk about their hair. I post stuff in Arabic, people say “oh i thought you was Christian”. I am NOT here to breastfeed or be what others think I should be; that fake stuff don’t work for me. I am social. I communicate. I don’t reply to negative comments anymore. I said on my mixtape, never understand why you peek but never unfollow. People give me too much power to piss them off. And that is NOT my intention. I’m comedic — everyone that knows me, all we do is laugh. Not everyone gets my jokes and I am at peace with that. Hello.

Lil Mo: Hell no. I regret being held back for having to use the bathroom. After having 4 c-sections, when I have to GO I have to GO. I will not get a UTI and have to drink cranberry juice and messing up MY kidneys. Mannn, holding pee is deadly. I am NOT risking my clean undies for NO damn body. Miss me with that. Hello. LOL.
