[EXCLUSIVE] Don King Sues Boxing Promoter Over Failed Guillermo Jones Fight

Legendary boxing promoter Don King is accusing a boxing promoter of holding 550k of his money hostage and now he has filed a federal lawsuit demanding the cash be handed over, theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports.

The 82-year-old promoter, whose career highlights include promoting “The Rumble in the Jungle” and the “Thrilla in Manila”, filed a federal lawsuit against boxing promoters Vladimir Hrunov and Andrey Ryabinskiy along with the company World of Boxing.

King explains that in January 28th 2014, the parties entered into an agreement in which Don King would grant the exclusive rights to promote a boxing fight to take place on April 25th between Denis Lebedev and Guillermo Jones which King granted World of Boxing the rights to promote Jones (who was signed with Don King Promotions).
