[INTERVIEW] Rapper Diamond Reacts to Momma Dee’s Criticism + Moving On From Soulja Boy

something in my past. But, you have fans that have been with you for ten, eleven long years that’s out here going to war, fighting for you and you got a family that gotta go to school and I got nieces and nephews, I’m gonna have kids one day, you kinda owe it to them. It’s coming from me, not a gain of anything, I’ve been good. But for me as a woman, for other young girls to learn from the mistakes that I’ve made. Don’t never dim your light for anyone. Don’t miss opportunities. The person you get with is supposed to uplift you. That’s really what’s it’s about. I’ve been doing this for so long, you gotta know that people are not gonna be happy with everything you do or say. But I’m happy with who I am when I look at myself in the mirror and I only have to report to one person [points to the sky]. So as long as I’m right with him, and I’m true to myself, that’s all that matters at the end of the day.

theJasmineBRAND.com: Your ex Soulja Boy is going to be on Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood, is that going to be difficult for you to watch?

Diamond: That’s another thing you’ll get to see on the show as well. That was another reason I had him to come on the show for the fans and for people to see we were cool and to clear things up and get back to the basics. Let’s see if we can record and create some more music, cause that’s initially how we met and how we got cool. Salute to him and whatever good things come from that, more power to him. You gotta get it.
