longest relationship. We’ve been married for 2 years. We just made our 2nd year anniversary on my grandmother’s birthday, August 18th. My husband is an amazing coach for Saint John’s University, and you just have to be able to be friends.

theJasmineBRAND.com: What are you most concerned with in raising a child in 2014?

Tichina Arnold: What I’m concerned about is me being a better person. If I’m a better person, then I can be a better mother, and guider, and leader and example for her [my daughter]. And for thousands and millions of others. Its not just for her. Its crazy, when you have a baby, you realize like “Wow, there are other mothers out there.”

theJasmineBRAND.com: Over the summer you put French Montana on blast. Have you seen him yet, or have you guys ironed that out? What made you say, “You know what, not another.”

Tichina Arnold: What happened with the French Montana thing is, I did not know who French Montana was. The reason why I responded to French Montana was because of my nephew, who said, “Aunty, why did he post a picture of you like that?” and I’m like, “No dude, that was my picture.” And I can take a joke, but I perused his Instagram page and I was the only one that he was making fun of, so why? And my main question was, “Why me?” and not everybody else? But its all good. French Montana is who he is, and now I know a little more about him. But there is a major disconnect between my generation and his generation and if that had to happen for us to create a bridge, and bridge that gap, I’m all for it.
