(EXCLUSIVE) Cash Money Claims Jas Prince Was Paid $2 Million From Drake’s Royalties

Jas claimed Cash Money owed him $4 million and he filed suit for breach of contract. Lil Wayne’s label fired back claiming they never had a deal with Jas and the contract was signed by Aspire and that’s who they pay NOT Jas.

Jas also filed suit in NY Court against Lil Wayne’s manager Cortez Bryant, an executive of Aspire, claiming he screwed him over on the deal they signed with Cash Money to bring them Drake.

However, Bryant fired back explaining that Aspire had been attempting to audit the records of Cash Money to see how much they have made from Drake’s royalties and how much they were owed because they believed they hadn’t been paid all that they were owed.

Bryant claimed that Jas had been paid his percentage from all money they received from Cash Money. However, he says that it hadn’t been much because Cash Money hadn’t paid them what’s due. Bryant stated that Aspire owed millions of dollars from Drake’s music royalties.

On October 6th, Jas Prince returned to court explaining he feared the money he was owed would never be seen if the court didn’t take action immediately. Prince explained that per the deal he signed with Aspire, he was owed his commission on Drake’s music, which he now claimed comes out to a total of 11 MILLION DOLLARS.

He said Aspire and Bryant were refusing to collect on the money owed to Jas against Cash Money. Jas believed that this was due to their friendship with Lil Wayne and Cash Money/Young Money. Therefore, he demanded the court appoint a temporary receiver to sue Cash Money for him, since he could not sue them per his deal with Aspire.

Then on November 11th, Cash Money and Bryant fired back at Jas’ attempt to have the court sue CM over Drake’s royalties.

They explained that since Jas has filed his lawsuit against Aspire and Cash Money, he still has been able to collect a total of 2 million dollars from Cash Money over Drake’s royalties.

Bryant states that instead of Aspire being paid that money – which they are suppose to collect and then pay Jas his share of the profits – Jas has been paid directly and has cut them out on collecting their profits.

Cash Money and Bryant blast Jas’ attempt to sue the record label, saying there is no evidence his cut from Drake’s money is in danger and they are demanding he not be allowed to go after Cash Money due to him already being cut a 2 million dollar check since he filed his lawsuits.
