Bow Wow Announces Spin Off: ‘Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta’

Growing Up Hip Hop is heading down south. On Monday, Bow Wow (real name Shad Moss) announced that he was executive producing the Atlanta spin-off, on WE tv.

Growing Up Hip Hop follows a new generation of hip-hop moguls following new paths and trying to get out of the shadows of their famous parents.

Personalities from season one and two, which was filmed in New York, featured Angela Simmons, Romeo Miller, Damon “Boogie” Dash, Kristinia DeBarge, TJ Mizell and Egypt Criss.

No word on who will be cast on the Atlanta spin-off.

Over the past few years, the 29-year-old rapper/actor/TV host has focused less on music and more on TV and film. Bow Wow made his first movie appearance in All About the Benjamins, in 2002 as a cameo. In the same year, Bow Wow made his debut as the lead role in Like Mike. He later began to undertake lead roles in movies, such as Johnson Family Vacation in 2004 and Roll Bounce in 2005. He also played a supporting role in the film The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift in 2006. Bow Wow also appeared in five episodes of the television series Entourage. He starred as Brody Nelson in CSI: Cyber until the show’s cancellation in 2016. This year, he announced a new late night show Up With Bow Wow (which has yet to air) and Tracks (a music show produced by Christina Aguillera).
