Karrueche Tran’s manager, Jacob York, still has a bit of an issue with Iyanla Vanzant. As you may recall, back in 2015, his client (Karrueche) did a sit-down with the popular OWN life coach. At the time, she was dealing with her break-up with singer Chris Brown.

During a recent interview, Karrueche admitted she regrets doing the show. York interjected, explaining why he approved of the appearance,

It wasn’t Iyanla Fix My Life. It was just an interview with OWN. OWN reached out on a premise that they wanted to interview her then they tried to backdoor this Iyanla (thing).

He says that he wanted the public to see who Karrueche REALLY was, outside of just being attached to Brown.

We figured she had an ‘others name’ and people just saw her as this traditional girl that dated a celebrity. So we wanted (the public) to understand what her intentions were, not what you probably think. So what you saw was a vulnerable, confused, young lady. Not some money-grubbing hoe looking for a come-up from a singer….It actually had a very good affect for her.

York does say he takes issue with Iyanla’s motivation and when asked if he has beef with her, he admits that he does. Recalling that he actually stopped the interview and requested Iyanla leave the home, he says:

Yeah, I put her out the house in the middle of the interview…. My beef with her is that she puts on this idea that she’s trying to help people when she’s only trying to get ratings — you know, how she was attacking her….It was designed as an interview, so yes I do have beef with Iyanla.

He continues,

I think she’s fake and what she did to her as young, black, woman was foul. Because we had an agreement that she was going to speak to her and hear her story and immediately it was a ‘Aren’t you a this?’ And, ‘Aren’t you a that?’ And I was like, ‘Wow, you have to leave.’

Ouch!
