Wendy Williams Bursts Into Tears Over Racism – I’m Black In America! [VIDEO]

Wendy Williams Tries Holding Back Tears When Talking About Racial Tension

Wendy Williams came close to tears during her hot topics segment on Tuesday.

The waterworks came after she began giving her take on The View co-host Sunny Hostin’s racially ignited experience over the 4th of July holiday.

Sunny Hostin

As previously reported, Hostin was vacationing with family and friends in Sag Harbor, NY at a beach front when a group of projected teenagers came within the vicinity of her beach house shouting obscene words and racial slurs.

After giving a summary of the incident, the Daytime Emmy award winner began trying to deflect the tears after trying to detail her daily thoughts of racist acts and threats that plague many minorities in
American society.

She begins, “Um. Secret truth. Other than I don’t like to mess with people who don’t smoke, drink, or have sex. Another secret truth, every day I go home,” as she begins to cover her face to hide tears, she continues:

I look – I look – to see if there’s going to be a cross burned or whatever, and we live in a very nice community. I can’t even look at you while I talk about this!

The host then grabs a hold of a hypnotizing pendulum and begins to spin it, she ignites,

I’m trying to hypnotize you not to be racist! Every day! Every day! I have no reason to be wondering about that except for that I’m black in America! And even though I have a good job and on TV and stuff, it doesn’t mean CRAP!

She continued,

If people want to splash poop on your front door, burn a cross, drop a note in your mail box. Every day! EVERY DAY! That’s my thought when I’m pulling up to the house. And when my kid goes out to walk the dog, every time, ‘Make sure your cellphone is on. See something, say something.’ Why are we still dealing with this?!

Is Wendy doing the right thing by using her platform to speak on racial discourse in America or she should stick to pop culture?
