D.L. Hughley Reveals His Wife Paid His Mistress for Years: She May Still Be Paying Her

D.L. Hughley has been open and honest with fans about his past issues with infidelity early on in his marriage with his wife of over 30 years – LaDonna Hughley. But there’s a plot twist to his cheating past that no one expected! Last year, the comedian/radio host opened up about an affair that resulted in the birth of a baby boy. D.L., understandably overwhelmed, wanted out. He said he prayed, asking God:

“‘…take this off me.’ [Then] my prayer was answered in the worse possible way.]

At just nine months old, that child was killed by the mistress’ boyfriend. D.L.’s wife had no idea about the affair or the baby for years. D.L. commented on how LaDonna found out. He said:

“Years later, the girl – it jammed her up too like it did me. She started asking for money. She needed some money. And I told her my wife would have to take care of it. Because I couldn’t.”

He continued, insinuating that despite him being the breadwinner, his wife LaDonna handled their finances:

“So, she and my wife started talking and my wife started giving her money. The condition was that she could never ask me and my wife to take care of her, so my wife took it from my allowance that I’ve never gotten back.”

Shockingly, LaDonna may still be dishing out money to her husband’s former mistress. D.L. added:

“So I don’t know if she’s still giving it to her or not. But I know that I don’t get that money anymore. And I can’t go, ‘Are you still?..” I can’t do that”. 

Wow. LaDonna is certainly what some may consider to be the ultimate ride or die chick. As we previously reported, D.L. struggled to share this story with both his wife and the world. He said:

“I knew that one day I would be man enough to tell my woman what happened…Finally, one day, I tell my wife. You know what she said to me? ‘I wish you would’ve told me and we could’ve went through this together.’”
