Cardi B Is The 1st Female Rapper w/ 3 Number 1 Singles On Billboard 100 List

Rapper Cardi B is still making money moves! She is officially the first female rapper with three number one singles on the Billboard 100 list. Her feature on Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” helped set this record for her.
Her previous number ones are “Bodak Yellow,” and “I Like It” featuring Spanish-speaking artists Bad Bunny and J Balvin.
Pierre “Pee” Thomas, CEO of Cardi’s management team, Quality Control Music, congratulated her on Instagram. His caption reads:

“@qcmceo_p Congrats @iamcardib You Killing The Game”

In typical hilarious Cardi B-fashion, she celebrated the success of her three number one singles with a video. She took a break from her Milan fashion week festivities while in Paris, France to give herself props. She joked,

“Bonjour, you dirty sluts! We out here in Paris and I’m so happy, because “Girls Like You” is number one! This is my third number-f*cking-one! I don’t give a f*ck if I’m a feature on that song, b*tch. I’m on the sh*t, b*tch. I’m on that sh*t! Let’s go!”

She continued, explaining how she almost wasn’t on the song at all. She said:
“Let me tell you the history on ‘Girls Like You.’ Which this is very funny, ‘cause my verse almost didn’t get approved ‘cause I had already did two pop records. My team felt like ‘Yo, it’s too early in your career to be doing pop, pop, pop, and you ain’t really got a lot of urban out like that.’ But I was like ‘Yo, like trust my judgment.’ Like, this is a motherf*cking hit.”
Cardi B explained what makes this song special, and what rapper to blame for how long it took for “Girls Like You” to reach the top of the charts. She said:
“For some reason when I heard this song the first time, it made me wanna cry. Maybe ‘cause I was pregnant with a girl, and the words are just so beautiful…and I’m here! Number one! It took us a while because of that damn Drake blocking us, but we here!”

Congratulations, Cardi B!
