Tory Lanez Has Harsh Words for Older R&B Stars: “Let the young n*ggas be young!”

Did Jacquees awaken a pack of sleeping beasts? The “B.E.D.” singer turned the internet upside down in a recent Instagram video where he declared himself the “King of R&B.” He said:

“I’m the king of R&B right now. For this generation….Now it’s my turn….I been feeling like that.”

Several of our R&B faves – such as Chris Brown, Tyrese, Omarion, and Tank – took to social media to sound off on the debate.

Well, singer/rapper Tory Lanez had a profanity-laden mouthful to say about the older R&B singers chiming in on the debate. He feels the veteran singers shouldn’t bash Jacquees for having confidence in his abilities. Tory said:

“It’s time to just jump in for R&B. Where the f*ck y’all n*ggas been at? F*ckin’, like J. Holiday, we ain’t heard yo a** since “Suffocate,” n*gga. The f*ck? Where the f*ck y’all n*ggas been at, my n*gga? The last time I seen Tyrese the n*gga was beefin’ with The Rock and he was puttin’ out a rap album. Now you wanna come over here talkin’ ’bout some R&B to the young n*ggas. Stop that sh*t, my n*gga. Let the young n*ggas be the young n*ggas, ’cause at the end of the day y’all n*ggas wanna stop a n*gga from comin’ out here and sayin’ he the best, but the n*gga out here [and] he goin’ hard.”

Tory Lanez continued, adding that both fans and artists alike should have an independent opinion on their favorites. He said:

“Now, the best in the game? We all know who the GOATs are. You know what I’m sayin’? And that’s what it is. And you’re allowed to have your own opinion on who you believe. I’m not gon’ say it’s me. I’m not gon’ say it’s Chris, or this n*gga. I’m not gon’ say it’s nobody. Everybody should have they opinions, but it’s one thing you old n*ggas gotta stop doin’ is y’all n*ggas gotta stop makin it a “let me just jump in and bash on a young n*gga say he the greatest at some sh*t I ain’t even f*ckin’ with, and ain’t been f*ckin’ with for a long a** time,” my n*gga. Stop bashin’ on the young n*ggas, my n*gga.”

Meanwhile, heart-throb Trey Songz wants us to stop talking about it all together. He tweeted:

“Man y’all still talkin bout this sh*t lmao”

Who do you think is the King of R&B? Let us know in the comments.
