1st Look: Michael Jackson’s Controversial Docu “Leaving Neverland” [Trailer]

The first look into the two-part documentary featuring notable allegations of Pop icon, Michael Jackson’s alleged sexually abuse of children has been released. The HBO film, called ‘Leaving Neverland’ was one of the more interesting films featured during the Sundance Film Festive in January, which is set to air in March. As previously reported, Leaving Neverland, a Dan Reed produced project says that the docu will tell the stories of two boys, aged 7 and 10, who began long-running relationships with the late singer, at the height of his stardom.

Michael Jackson, Wade Robson

In the nearly two minute trailer, old photos and videos of James Safechuck, 37, and Wade Robson, 41, paint the picture as the pair discussed their childhood encounters with The King of Pop. Robson says during the video,

“The days were filled with magical, childhood adventure experiences. Playing tag, watching movies, eating junk food. Anything you could ever want as a child.”

Robson adds, during one of his encounters at the Neverland ranch, Jackson told him to make sure that everything that was seen or heard could never be spoken of.

“He told me if they ever found out what we were doing, he and I would go to jail for the rest of our lives. I want to be able to speak the truth as loud as I had to speak the lie for so long.

As previously reported, brother of Michael, Jermaine Jackson, issued a statement on his late brother’s documentary.

He said,

“A documentary titled “Leaving Neverland” is planned to be shown to 40,000 people at the Sundance Film Festival. The producer of the film is Dan Reed. This film is based on the falsified claims of molestation by the hands of Michael Jackson. As Michael’s innocence was proven by a court of law and a 10 year FBI investigation, this is legally considered defamation of character. This mendacious documentary should NOT see the light of day.”
