50 Cent Reveals He Was Offered $500K To Appear At Trump’s Inauguration

The secrets regarding Donald Trump’s inauguration continue to spill out, even though it’s over two years later. If you’ll recall, Trump has an extremely difficult time booking A-list celebrities (or any celebrities at all) to perform or attend his presidential inauguration back in January 2017. Now, 50 Cent has just revealed that he was invited…and for a pretty hefty price-tag.

Gospel Artist Tina Campbell Voted For Trump Because Of His Views On Christianity

During a recent interview, he admitted that, like many other black A-list celebrities, he was approached by Trump to attend his inauguration, which you may remember was one of the least-attended in history. Apparently, Trump was so desperate to have 50 there, he offered him a whopping $500,000 just to appear.

When asked if any politician had ever tried to get his support, he dropped the Trump bombshell, stating:

“Yeah, with Trump during the inauguration. They offered me a half a million dollars to go. I didn’t do it ‘cause I didn’t know if I could fix the damage. To be honest wit you, all money is not good money, you gotta be careful what you doing publicly ‘cause…I don’t know how you fix that. And I just, was like ‘woah, don’t bring me to fix the African American vote, bring somebody else.’”

Hardly any big-name black celebrities ended up attending Trump’s inauguration, although singer Chrisette Michele and boxer Floyd Mayweather decided to show up and support. However, Michele’s career has never recovered from her performance there, resulting in her claims she was dropped from her record label and suffered a miscarriage as a result.
