Boosie Says His Arrest Was A “Misunderstanding”

Boosie Tells TV Station His Arrest Was a “Misunderstanding”

Rapper Boosie narrowly escaped prison time for his most recent arrest. He and a man named Antonio Allen (confirmed not to be the ex NFL star) were taken to Coweta County Jail outside of Atlanta, GA on possession of drugs and a firearm after being pulled over for swerving in and out of highway lanes. The drugs were found to be marijuana, THC oil, and a loaded 9mm gun.

However, Boosie (real name Torrence Hatch, Jr.) was later released the next day on a $3500 bond. Despite facing charges of failing to maintain his lane, drug possession, and having a gun during a crime – Boosie says his arrest isn’t as a severe as it seems. While leaving the jail, he told reporters:

“Just a misunderstanding. Ain’t nothing serious.”

In 2012, Boosie was acquitted of murder charges after serving seven years for varied charges including a third offense drug charge.
