Biggie’s FBI Files Released + Biggie Had 3 Condoms In His Pocket, Connected to NY Crime Family

This week, the FBI released the files surrounding the 1997 death around Christopher Wallace (better known as Notorious B.I.G.). Since his death, there’s been much speculation around whom murdered the late rapper, as well as who may or may not be covering up the person(s) responsible. If you have time (hell, maybe you do) to sift through the files, you’ll find some pretty interesting elements that weren’t necessarily made public.

These may still be considered allegations, so take ’em or leave ’em, but here are a few elements that E! Online found interesting:

  • Wallace Was Killed With Rare Ammunition: the bullets that struck Wallace dead were “very rare” Gecko 9mm ammunition. These are supposedly only manufactured in Germany. There are only two distributors of the bullets in the whole of the U.S.–California and New Jersey. It seems as though FBI were attempting to compare the bullets to those found at a bank robbery that might have ties to the shooting, though it’s unclear if that ever took place.
  • Random (Or Not So Random) Ish Was Found in Wallace’s Pockets the Night of His Death: According to the property report, Wallace was carrying a Georgia driver’s license, a pen, his clothes, as well as .91 grams of marijuana, miscellaneous papers, an asthma inhaler and three condoms.
  • He Allegedly Had Ties to Organized Crime: According to the FBI, Wallace had connections with the Genovese crime family in New York. They (the FBI) believed that investigators believed that the family might have video or other surveillance that could contain photographs of people they believed to be involved in the shooting.
