A Los Angeles judge dismissed the contempt allegation against the rapper Monday after he paid nearly $50,000 in child support to his estranged wife Kelis. Kelis’ attorney sought the contempt charge earlier this year after Nas fell $200,000 behind on child and spousal support payments. He was ordered in December to pay more than $51,000 a month to Kelis and their infant son. In a statement released Wednesday, Nas says, “All I want to do is make music and raise my kids. Nothing else matters.” (Associated Press)

See what Chilli has to say (via her Vibe blog) on why women she have higher standards.
This may sound cliché, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So you may think a guy is ugly but 10 other women may not think that. But if you choose to date someone and he’s not necessarily to your liking as far as his appearance, that depends on the woman because there are other things about him that may spark the interest and really make you want to be with him. Then maybe his looks aren’t that important and they can go out the door.
Physical attraction, I feel, is very important. I mean, it is to me. I can’t really speak for a lot of people, although looks of course deteriorate. As we get older, things change, but initially before you meet anybody when you see them, their face, their body, that’s the first thing you see. You have no idea what their personality is like. That’s when you spend the time to get to know them to find out that part. But I think you should be with somebody that you are attracted to. You should love to look at that person’s face. It doesn’t matter if the whole world thinks he’s ugly or not. As long as you think he’s gorgeous, then that’s all that matters.
There were quite a few guys on my reality show that I wasn’t feeling because I didn’t have a hand in choosing the guys. That was the whole premise of the show. I don’t look at it like I’m a control freak or anything like that, but when you’re independent and you’re used to doing things for yourself, you’re just used to that way. To do a show like this and someone is coming on and picking someone for me to go on a date with, it’s like a blind date. Do they usually work? Nine times out of ten, no they don’t. Because everybody always thinks that’s for you and it’s like, I thought you said he was cute!
I do have a high standard and I think all women should. You must have a list. Because if you don’t, then you fall for anything. You date any kind of guy and you’re never going to be happy because the person will never meet your true standards. Be vocal about your standards. Write them down. Break them up. Wat do you need? What do you want? Needs have to be met. That goes for guys, too.
When you look at yourself and you see the great qualities that you have and what you can offer someone, you don’t feel like you’re going to shortchange somebody so why shortchange yourself? You should never ever ever settle in a relationship. I always say settling is for houses. You settle in a house. Not in a relationship.
In my mind, I have a camera crew following me. If this “imaginary camera crew” was to ever interview my sister (I don’t have one), I would want her not to comment negatively on my love life. Ever. Like even if my man was beating me upside my head daily, my imaginary sister need not say a damn word to the media. With that said, Khloe Kardashian is pleased that her sister, Kim Kardashian, is now single. She did say this in a nice, unjudgemental way though.
“I pray she stays single,” Khloe, 25, said on the Today show Wednesday. “Kim goes from one relationship to the next.””I think it’s just time to move on,” she says. “It’s a good thing they never wed. It’s like ending on a good note.” Peep Khloe on the show: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hlxl0KPj5Oo]
I found this over at Nah Right. Rap-Up interviews Nas and Damian Marley. Now, I can’t understand what the hell Damian Marley is saying (I like looking @ him though), but Nas discusses Distant Relatives, Lil Wayne, and other artists like Jay Electronica, Drake, Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, etc. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Yam53Yt_XY&feature=player_embedded] Photo Credit.

I think this will be a great thing for all involved, except the Eagles. One reason is because I don’t think Andy Reid was ready to part ways with the soon to be 34 year old veteran. He still had a year left on paper with the Eagles, And though I don’t think they would’ve given him an extension, for some reason I think Andy would’ve liked to see Donovan play it out. Although Reid put the word out that he was entertaining offers a few weeks ago to the coaches and GM’s. I don’t think he was the brains behind that move. i think this was above him. Another reason is because of where he eneded up. Why send him to Washington? Now he gets to play the eagles twice. I’m sure he has those days marked already. The other reason is the Eagles don’t have sufficient QB to fufill the role. I mean the 2nd round pick, Kevin Kolb, and Michael Vick doesn’t exactly fit the bill if you ask me. Philly is a hard place to play and an even harder place to play for. My sympathy gees out to Kolb and Vick, who will be expected to do nothing other than win.
Now McNabb is headed to the great QB coaching of Shanahan. This will be great! He’s still a prime QB, despite the fact that he hasn’t played a full season all but once in the last six. He’s a post season shoe in. I’m glad he didn’t end up with the Raiders. He wouldn’t have a shot! I’m calling this the craziest QB trade since Brett to the Vikings.
Congrads to Duke & Coach K, as well as UCONN women and gents. I think both of those guys need new day jobs. More complicated ones. NBA, WNBA!
My Top 5 NFL Draft Picks are:
1. Ndamukong Suh / Jimmy Clausen
2. Gerald McCoy
3. Eric Berry
4. Dez Bryant
5. Russel O Kung
4.18.10:::::Update, although TMZ reports that Shaq is against the show, his recent tweet on Friday contradicts this…Friday, he tweeted, @NBAWIVES wish u ladies well, may u continue to have high ratings. Good luck with all you do.. Stay beautiful ladies…great job
TMZ (gotta love ’em) reports that Shaq is NOT feeling his wife’s show, Basketball Wives. I’ve only seen one episode thus far and it didn’t seem like much of a Shaq bash fest to me. See the TMZ story below:
Shaquille O’Neal believes his estranged wife Shaunie O’Neal may be cooking up a “televised revenge” plot on her VH1 reality show — and now he’s making legal threats to keep her from Shaq-bashing on the air. Shaq’s lawyer has fired off a letter to the network — obtained by TMZ — in which he demands VH1 immediately halt production on “any further episodes of ‘Basketball Wives
Shaq’s lawyer claims Shaunie signed a confidentiality agreement at some point in their relationship — so if she says anything about Shaq on TV, she and the production company will find their asses in court.
The first episode of the show already ran last week and show #2 — which reportedly features a scene centered around Shaunie’s relationship with Shaq — is scheduled to run Sunday. Sources close to the show tell us it’s unclear whether or not the next episode will make air.
.”O’Neal’ which make any reference to Mr.
Since this news hit the net, both Shaunie and one of her show co-hosts have thrown some subliminal responses.

Peep what Brandy has to say about the evilness that are gossip blogs. (By the way, she’s blogging about it–take that mediatakout!):
People think that you being strong doesn’t mean things don’t hurt your feelings. That’s not what being strong means. I’m a very strong person, but some of those things that people say about me on blogs make me cry. I don’t like it. And what’s so frustrating is that I don’t get a chance to retaliate. Because y’all are not posting y’all pictures on the blogs. I can’t respond and I can’t be negative back because that’s just not me.
But sometimes some of the things that people say about me and my best friends and people that I care about, like my brother and Kelly Rowland, I want to go in on those people, but I can’t. But that stuff hurts. It really hurts. Sometimes we don’t read the comments because of what we’ve seen people say in the past about us. Okay, you don’t like my shoes, you don’t like my outfit, cool, but the rest of it, like bringing up the car accident?
People just go too far. Way too far. But people are going to be who they are. As long as I’m not like that, and even if I wasn’t me and I was tweeting about another celebrity, I would never say anything bad about somebody like that. I’m glad that I’m that type of a person.
If I was running the site, I wouldn’t post a bad picture of another person. I just wouldn’t do that. All to make money. For what reason? There are other ways that you can make money. Why do you have to do that at the expense of somebody else? And then the hard part about it is you take a picture of me, I don’t get a piece of that at all. It’s just weird. I just think people should have respect. We have feelings.
I was just talking to Kelly the other day about something I saw on MediaTakeOut about somebody else that we knew. And then she was like, “Well I am not going on MediaTakeOut. I’m not even gonna go there.” But it wasn’t about us so I felt like it was cool for her to just go check it out to make sure because it was somebody we knew. She said, “I’m not going on there, I don’t want to go there.”
It’s real. It affects us. Trust me. It really does. We’re people at the end of the day with feelings. You know we’re sensitive because we’re artists. You know that stuff is going to hurt sometimes. It doesn’t mean we’re not strong.
Toya expands on why she’s keeping the Carter name for now: “I’m glad you asked that because I get that a lot about my last name. To me what’s the big deal with the last name? My daughter is a Carter, it’s not because I’m all attached to Wayne, but we were married and that was my last name. Its bad enough a lot of other things shifted up like I don’t see the last name being an issue.” (All Hip Hop) Photo Credit

Kourt and I came to Miami to revamp Dash, and that’s exactly what we did! We worked our little tushies off and were so excited about the store’s fab new makeover that we thought what better way to celebrate than by getting one of our own. Dash has never looked so good! LOL.
Nick Saglimbeni was the photographer and I think he did an incredible job. He actually helped come up with the concept for the shoot and everything just turned out beautifully.
It literally took ALL day to get airbrushed but it was so worth it. We also got two new dash dolls, Jessica and Katy, and we absolutely love them! Our airbrushing adventures were captured on camera so you can catch it all in an brand spanking new episode of Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami. WOOOHOOOOOOO so excited!!!
