It was two parties in one for Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss. Over the weekend, the singer/reality star celebrated her new BRAVO spin-off ‘The Kandi Factory’ and her latest cover on Upscale. Held at Atlanta’s Aurum club, attendees saw the first episode. We spotted Love & Hip Hop of Atlanta’s Rasheeda, singer Sevyn Streeter, Big Rich Atlanta’s Khadijah, Ne-Yo’s fiance Monyetta Shaw (who just released a new children’s book), actress Nadine Ellis, former reality star, Chanita Foster, R&B Diva’s Nicci Gilbert, blogger Funky Dineva and Kandi’s fiance, Todd Tucker.
This thing got real ugly, real fast. This week, we shared the surprising news that after 10 years, syndicated radio personality, Michael Baisden was calling it quits. Initially, the details remained fuzzy, as he hinted on his facebook page, the day before he said his final ‘farewell’, that he would no longer be on radio. The day before his departure, he shared a warm, fuzzy and semi-vague announcement. But a day later, things must have heated up and all hell broke loose at the station. The 49-year-old radio Chicago native shared his account of what happened on his Facebook page. He wrote:
The Michael Baisden Show Staff has been “Locked Out” of Cumulus Studios…really Cumulus? In the words of Rodney King, “Can’t we all get along?” Just because we couldn’t come to an agreement is no reason to deprive the listeners, affiliates, and advertisers of only 9 days to say goodbye and show our appreciation.
