Lil Kim Announces It’s A Girl! Celebrity Planner David Tutera Planning ‘Royalty’ Themed Shower

The clock is ticking and Lil Kim is anticipating the arrival of her first born. The Brooklyn-bred rapper announced that she and boyfriend Mr. Papers are expecting a bouncing baby girl. And as expected, her baby shower is said to be quite extravagant with celebrity wedding planner, David Tutera planning her big day. David, who has his on show on We TV ( My Fair Wedding with David Tutera), has planned a number of celebrity weddings and events (Star Jones’ wedding, NY Giants Antonio Pierce’s wedding and events for Jennifer Lopez, Elton John, Barbara Walters, The Rolling Stones, Vice President Al Gore at the White House, Kenneth Cole, Tommy Hilfiger, etc.).

Kim made the announcement on Instagram writing:

Happy Easter everyone !!!! What a perfect day to share this wonderful news with U. The fab @davidtutera is throwing my royal baby shower for my lil’ princess 5/10/14!!! Thank U for the awesome graphic @dustyaceti !!!! Muahhhh!!! #TeamLilKim. Love U all so much !!! Muahhhh !!!

In February, Kim announced her pregnancy by showing up to New York Fashion Week, with a huge bump. She later told Us Weekly:

I’m so excited! I’m a few months along, I can’t wait to be a mom!

She added that fans shouldn’t expected time off.

I’m still going to work. I’m still going to be hardcore. The baby has made me even more of a beast!

Initially, Kim kept the identity of the child’s father under wraps. Her boyfriend, aspiring rapper Mr. Papers later confirmed that he was the father. On Valentine’s day, Mr. Papers called the Rickey Morning Smiley Show, confirming the great news. He shared that the couple are expecting a boy, but remained tight-lipped about baby names. He said:

Yeah, that’s my baby…I don’t really wanna give that to the world yet, but we gon’ let y’all know soon though. Word. You know what I mean? We ain’t gon’ hold it too long…He gon’ be a Gemini though. Youknow what I mean? But I don’t really wanna give you all that information.

No confirmation on whether the shower will be filmed, but our guess is it’s highly likely.
