John Legend & Common Snag Oscar For Original Song, See the Acceptance Speech & Performance + Complete Winner List [VIDEO]
It’s a celebratory time for John Legend (real name John Stevens) and Common (real name Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr.). Sunday night, the two snagged an Oscar for Best original song: “Glory” from the film “Selma”. During their acceptance speech, the two took the opportunity to discuss social issues like civil rights, black males incarcerated and the need to continue to this discussion on all fronts.
