Jim Jones Alleges He Was Racially Profiled On A Jet Blue Flight
Jim Jones was affirmative when he stated he was being racially profiled on his Jet Blue flight. While aboard his flight and preparing for takeoff, Jones was asked to leave the flight based on unknown reasons. As Jones stood at the entry of the plane, a verbal argument ensued with Jones, the flight attendants, and captain which was captured on his Instagram Live. In the video, Jones can be seen deliberating with the captain, requesting to know why he was being removed from the flight.
As the captain insisted he was being uncooperative with what was being requested of him, Jones quickly counters the argument by stating,
I did comply. I totally complied. You can ask every customer that’s sitting next to me. I’m on the way to a show, I take Jet Blue every other day literally. This is the only flight that I take.
He further explains his side of the fiasco,
I’m sitting there, the lady asks me to take out the pamphlet – I took out the pamphlet….I did nothing wrong. I pushed my bag under the seat. I wasn’t combative. I didn’t raise my voice.”
As Jones begins to conclude his explanation, the captain intervenes and reveals,
We ask people to get off flights maybe once a year. Once.
Eventually, the captain ends the shouting match by asking if Jones would like to be moved to another seat, where Jones gracefully obliges.
Jones was trying to make it to Austin, TX for his set during the “Dipset Forever” tour.
