Suge Knight Old Interview Surfaces In Which He Claims Jay Z Was “Taped Up, Robbed & Gagged” In L.A.

Jigga what!? Jigga say it ain’t so. An old interview clip is floating around the internet in which Suge Knight claims that Jay Z was bound, gagged, and robbed during a visit to Los Angeles. The video is clipped from an interview with Carson Daly from 2001. It opens with Suge Knight speaking about Rocafella and Jay Z. Suge offers a very vague and evasive response to questions about whether he likes Jay Z’s music.

When asked whether he’d ever met Jay Z at that time, Suge Knight casually quips:

“The only thing I know about Jay-Z is that he came to L.A. a few times and Snoop and Dre told him that ‘When you on the west coast, you wrote a song for me, don’t worry ’bout nothin’.’ Next thing I know he’s taped up, robbed, and gagged.” Suge Knight then chuckles at the disturbing recollection.

The interviewer asks who was responsible for the crime. Suge Knight replies:

“Who Knows.”

At that point, Suge Knight seems to imply that he has no further knowledge about the incident, changing the subject to offer kind words about Jay Z, calling him a “good guy” and claiming to like him.
