Cardi B –  Stylists For Rapper’s Sister Hennessy Are Being Sued For Allegedly Not Returning More Than $34K In Clothes Loaned To Them For The Socialite

According to reports, a new lawsuit alleges stylists for Hennessy Carolina (rapper Cardi B’s younger sister), Charles Reynolds and Xavier Banks, were loaned more than $35,000 worth of clothes for their client to wear but they refused to return or pay back the cost of the designer clothing.

The lawsuit claims on April 14, Charles Reynolds and Xavier Banks received 52 pieces of clothing worth $35,306 from luxury fashion retailer Dove Street Market. Charles Reynolds and Xavier Bank agreed that the garments were “being taken on consignment for the purchase of their client Hennessy Carolina,” and they were either going to buy or return them by April 21.

Apparently, the celebrity stylists gave some of the items to rapper Mellow Rackz, born Melody Faith, to wear at Coachella, and “personally wore” some of the merchandise to the music festival themselves. According to the suit, Mellow Rackz “has now refused to return the merchandise.” However, Mellow Rackz is not a defendant in the lawsuit.

Dover Street Market claims on April 27, six of the pieces were returned to the high-end Kips Bay store and four of the items were damaged. The suit alleges, to date, Reynolds and Banks have not paid for the damaged items or returned 49 pieces, which total to $34,331.

The lawsuit does not name Hennessy Carolina, 26, as a defendant nor has any accusations been brought against her. Reynolds claimed he pulled the items for Mellow Rackz who allegedly took the clothes and never purchased them.

Reynolds said:

“Mellow Rackz is the person that stole the clothes.”

Banks claimed:

“Mellow Rackz is a thief and she is the reason that this is all happening.”

A representative for the stylists stated:

“Mellow Rackz is truly scamming her way to the top and using whoever she can.”

The representative continued:

“Celebrity stylists, Charles Reynolds and Xavier Banks are her latest victims.”

The representative added:

“The celebrity style team has been sued by Dover Street Group for not returning clothes they pulled for Mellow Rackz. The rapper who pretended she was going to a room to sort through the clothes and decide what she wanted to wear to Coachella left Banks and Reynolds at the fitting never to return with the clothes.”

Ezra Salami, the stylist’s lawyer, said legal notices were sent to Mellow Rackz and her manager in May and went unanswered, so the fashion duo is now planning to sue the rapper.
