Kanye West Finally Served w/ $4 Million Lawsuit From Ex-Business Manager After Months’ Long Effort To Track Down The Rapper

Kanye West is lawyered up and ready to put up a fight!

After ending the months-long hunt to track down the Chicago rapper, Kanye West‘s new legal team appeared in court this week to accept service of a $4.5 million lawsuit filed by Ye’s former business manager.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, Kanye West’s new attorney Gregory N. Suhr appeared on behalf of Ye in the case brought by the rapper’s ex-business manager, Thomas St. John.

Reportedly, Kanye West hired Thomas St. John last year to act as his senior financial advisor and agreed to pay him a monthly fee of $300k. However, St. John said he was only paid for 3 months out of his 18-month contract. Due to West’s defiance, St. John decided to sue the Yeezy founder for a whopping total of $4.5 million in unpaid wages.

St. John said,

“When confronted by the 18-month commitment that had just been made, Mr. West stated words to the effect of “the 18-month term was b—–t” and “You’re insane for even thinking I would stick to it.”

Unfortunately, when it came time for West to be served, he was nowhere to be found, and the home and business addresses that were once verifiable for him were no longer valid. Because of this,  St.John made several attempts to locate the rapper and even asked a judge for additional time to serve Ye.

Thomas St. John’s filing read:

“After a diligent attempt, the process server was unable to execute service on the agent for service of process for Yeezy, who appeared to no longer be occupying the office address listed on the 2022 California state filing.”

In his filing, St. John admitted he could not figure out where Kanye West was currently living. The legal document stated:

“For Mr. West, despite our diligent efforts, we were unable to ascertain his current residential address, and therefore, have not yet made attempts to serve him personally. Instead, we have attempted to service him by mail at multiple possible addresses.”

St. John had asked the court to allow him until March to complete service. Now that West’s lawyer has shown up to court, the hunt for the fashion designer has come to an end.

As previously reported, Kanye West has been without an attorney for months now after his previous team dropped him due to his antisemitic remarks.

Kanye’s new legal team is also now defending the fashion designer in a $7 million lawsuit brought on by a production company named Phantom Labs.
