Popular New York DJ, Funk Master Flex, Arrested, Released on $500 Bail

Popular DJ and radio personality, Funk Master Flex (real name: Aston George Taylor Jr), was arrested in Westchester early this morning. According to reports, the police responded to a domestic dispute from a 40-year-old woman, who was later identified as Flex’s wife. When the police arrived, 42-year-old Flex was not present, they later located him and arrested him on charges of harassment, aggravated harassment and criminal mischief. One report says that Flex pushed his wife, while Flex’s web site says that he was “arrested for allegedly breaking a woman’s phone and having a suspended license.” Friday afternoon, he was arraigned in Greenburgh Town Court and released on $500 bail. Reports on what actually went down are conflicting. Flex currently works for popular New York radio station, Hot 97.
