Mary J. Blige Says Fans Dressing As Her For Halloween Makes Her Feel Like A ‘Household Name’
Mary J. Blige is embracing her status as a cultural icon this Halloween season, sharing that she feels honored whenever fans dress up as her.
“I love it so much because it says, you know, I’m a household name,” the “Be Without You” singer told PEOPLE. As she prepares to release her new concert film, “For My Fans,” in theaters next month, Blige is looking forward to seeing costumes inspired by her signature looks.
“When we were kids, we wanted to be Wonder Woman,” she recalled, laughing about childhood memories of dressing as KISS with her sister. “Now, people are fighting over who’s gonna be Mary J. Blige for Halloween. I love that.”
Fans can take inspiration from her unforgettable style moments, from thigh-high boots and blonde hair to her bold red carpet and music video outfits.
