Porsha Williams Officially Introduces Her Girlfriend Patrice “Sway” McKinney

Porsha Williams has publicly introduced her new girlfriend, Patrice “Sway” McKinney, via an Instagram post celebrating McKinney’s birthday.

McKinney — who is the founder of Encore Salon Suites based in Atlanta — was featured in a carousel of affectionate photos and videos that included images of the two embracing in front of a festive holiday-style backdrop, as well as footage of them dancing together at a club.

In her caption, Williams wrote:

“Happiest Birthday @sway_thepro. Hope this year continues to bring you everything you want and more! ?? Can’t wait to act up saturday!”

This marks the first time Williams has made a romantic relationship public since finalizing her divorce from former husband Simon Guobadia in June 2024.

Earlier in October 2025, Williams revealed she had been “talking to” both a man and a woman after her divorce. She described both as “nice,” but stressed she was being cautious:

“I really just wanted to make sure that these were normal people.”

She explained her hesitation with opening up again, saying:

“What I talked about with my therapist the other day was — I’m having a hard time opening up because they’re not narcissists.” Williams elaborated that unlike past relationships characterized by “love-bombing,” these new romantic interests didn’t immediately shower her with attention — instead, they challenged her and asked difficult questions. And regarding her curiosity about dating women, she said:

“When you go through a bad enough breakup, you’re like, ‘I don’t like nobody.’ … I was sitting there, I was like, ‘Do I like women enough? Can I get with a woman? Who can come in and fill this void?’ But I don’t [have that] yet. It’ll come.”
