Faith Evans Reveals The Moment Stevie J Made His Move After Being ‘Friends For A Very Long Time’
Faith Evans is opening up about the long-standing friendship that quietly blossomed into romance between her and music producer Stevie J.
The R&B icon revealed on the “Formula Features” podcast that she and Stevie were “friends for a very long time” before anything turned romantic. Evans met Stevie while she was still married to The Notorious B.I.G., explaining that the producer and Missy Elliott frequently visited her during her separation from the late rapper.
Although legally married to Biggie until his death in 1997, Evans said she never saw Stevie “in an intimate way” until they worked together on her 2017 album “The King & I.”
“So I camped out in Atlanta for a minute and worked with Stevie. In one of them sessions, Stevie came in the booth and kissed me,” she recalled.
Stevie later confessed he’d “been loving her” for years. The pair married in 2018, separated in 2020, and finalized their split in 2023.
