‘RHOSLC Star Mary Cosby Accused Of Slamming Ex-Congregants Over Birthday Cards & Pressuring Them For Donations

Leaked audio of #MaryCosby seemingly berating former church members is making headlines once again.

Former congregants of Mary Cosby’s Faith Temple Pentecostal Church are speaking out in the upcoming #TLC docuseries The Cult of the Real Housewife, alleging that the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star complained about birthday cards and pressured members for financial contributions. Audio leaked in 2020 of Cosby criticizing church members over birthday cards, which she later claimed was taken out of context during a #RHOSLC reunion. However, former church organist Ernest Enoch disputes that claim. In a teaser for the docuseries, Enoch says, “I was there when Mary complained about the 14 birthday cards…I gave this chick a card with $1,000 in it. Ask me if she said thank you.”

Ernest’s sister, Rosalind Enoch, also alleges that Cosby and her husband, Robert Cosby Sr., frequently enforced “heave offerings,” at times demanding large sums of money on short notice. “It started to increase over time … they need $100,000 and they need it by Thursday,” she claims. Rosalind further alleges that church leaders positioned ushers at the exits during these meetings, adding, “You’re just being barricaded in here.” While Mary has not directly addressed the specific allegations made in the documentary, she told PEOPLE at #BravoCon last month that the project is “horrible … and it’s not true.”

The Cult of the Real Housewife premieres Thursday, Jan. 1 at 8 p.m. ET on TLC, with all episodes available to stream the following day on HBO Max and discovery+.
