Rapper #WizKhalifa is fighting a nine-month prison sentence in #Romania after a court upheld a prosecutor’s appeal in his mar!juana case, despite an earlier fine he received for the incident. Romania’s Constan?a Court of Appeal agreed with the DIICOT prosecutor’s office to replace the roughly 3,000 lei fine (about $700) with the potential prison time, but sources close to the artist told TMZ that his legal team is actively appealing the ruling.

Khalifa was arrested and briefly detained in connection with the case following his performance at the Beach Please! Festival in Costine?ti in July 2024, where footage showed him lighting up a joint onstage while dancing to The Next Episode. Insiders added that “nothing is set in stone just yet” as the appeal process moves forward and his team seeks an alternative to serving the sentence.
