NeYo Clarifies Relationship With Ex-Girlfriend Monyetta, Gushes About New Love: She has much promise.

NeYo (real name Shaffer Chimere Smith) is spilling the beans — sorta — about his new love. As previously reported, the 34-year-old singer/songwriter is dating a LA model named Crystal Renee.

We spotted him out a few times with him over the BET Awards weekend, with his new beauty.

In addition to declaring his love for her on Instagram, he confirmed his relationship status during a recent interview with Hot 97.

He admits that he and his ex, Monyetta Shaw, share two children together and are in a good space:

Me and the mother of my children, we’re still close, we’re still cool…

While he’s not ready to call Crystal his ‘girlfriend’, he gushed:
