(EXCLUSIVE) Lil Wayne Blows Off $232k Default Judgement
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, Lil Wayne blew off a lawsuit accusing him of screwing over a sound system company who worked on his 2013 tour and now the company – who won a $232k default judgement – are on the hunt for his assets and property to collect on their money.
Here’s the latest: On August 24th, the company headed to Florida and registered the judgement in the State, which is the first step in the process of seizing a debtors assets or property to collect on money owed.
Here’s the backstory: Last year, a Cleveland based company named Eighth Day Sound Systems filed a lawsuit against Young Money Touring.
The company claimed Young Money Touring entered into 2 different contracts for them to provide sound and tech help for a 2013 U.S. and European tour. Eighth Day worked with Lil Wayne and provided him with sound equipment, audio techs, personnel and numerous other services for the tours. Once they finished the work, they said the label refused to pay the invoices which totaled $232,209.50.
Lil Wayne, nor his team, never responded to the lawsuit and the judge granted a default judgement to the sound company in the full $232k with interest until the rapper pays off the debt.
