Kylie & Kendall Jenner Respond To Tupac Lawsuit: We only sold 2 shirts!
Kylie & Kendall Jenner Respond To Tupac Lawsuit
The fashion label for Kendall and Kylie Jenner said Sunday that only two “vintage” T-shirts with late rapper Tupac Shakur’s image were sold, before they were pulled from stores.
As previously reported, last Friday the Kendall + Kylie brand were hit with copyright infringement lawsuit by a commercial photographer, Michael Miller, who shot the images on the shirts. The lawsuit accused the reality TV sisters of using two images of Shakur without his permission.
The label’s statement says the shirts with Shakur’s image were obtained from a company that had a valid license to sell them. The Kendall + Kylie brand superimposed images of the Jenner sisters or other designs over photos of musicians, including Shakur, Notorious B.I.G. and Ozzy Osbourne. It called Miller’s lawsuit baseless saying in a statement,
The allegations made are completely false and the lawsuit is baseless. There has been no infringement or violation of anyone’s rights.
The shirts sold for $125 apiece, but they were they pulled after they received backlash from Notorious B.I.G.’s mother and Osbourne’s wife, Sharon.
Kendall also issued an apology.
