Beyonce Collaborating w/ Pastor & BeyGOOD To Help Hurricane Victims

Beyonce is planning how to help Hurricane Harvey victims. On Monday (August 28th), the Houston native released a statement stating,

My heart goes out to my hometown, Houston, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so brave and determined to do so much to help. I am working closely with my team at BeyGOOD as well as my pastor (Rudy Rasmus at St. John’s in downtown Houston) to implement a plan to help as many as we can.

Her BeyGOOD organization was launched in 2013 and is a philanthropic effort that partners with global charity organizations to get people employed and provide clothing, counseling, housing, food and medical assistance.

Beyonce’s mother, Tina Lawson, has posted inspirational thoughts and prayers on social media about Houston.

You know i just saw this photo on @jurneebell and it made me think. Is it possible this this is a message from God to make us wake up and really face the fact that we all need each other to survive. That all of this hate and prejudice and racism is just plain stupid. Today I have seen the photos of all races Carrying People and helping others. What is very clear to me is that when you think you’re going to die it does not matter the color of the skin of the person who is rescuing you. I don’t think anyone is going to say no I’ll just stay here and drown or I’ll let my children drown before I let a_______ person Carry me or my children. (You fill in the blank) Would you ?
