Common’s girlfriend, Angela Rye, is being inundated with threats – according to reports. Angela, who is a political commentator, activist and a regular CNN contributor, is said to be receiving more threats on social media, email, etc. since she began dating the rapper turned actor. Reportedly, in August, she received an email threatening her,

Yr dumb dead ass gonna be found in a river.

The authorities have been alerted. Common nor Angela have yet to address the situation.

Common recently confirmed his relationship with Angela stating,

Yes, there’s definitely a connection with Angela Rye. She’s a wonderful woman. And you know, I’ll just say I’m dating. I’m happy right now. She’s an incredible human being.

He added,

That’s the good thing about Angela, too, she’s just a fun person… She’s obviously about the mission and about the people….Just because you’re conscious and aware don’t mean you gotta not have fun. You’re still going to kick it, and that’s part of me too.
